"Jellyshrooms can be found in damp, warm places, floating about alone or in small clusters, feeding off organic debris and small creatures that end up tangled in their tendrils. Specimens living in dark areas may develop bioluminescence to attract prey and startle predators. But are they airborne fungi? Or are they some sort of land jellyfish? Do they know the name of God? Science does not know, and does not want to know. Death is a transformation, transformation is a rebirth. You cannot kill them in a way that matters."

New Features
2022-05-12 12:45:35
Two new features are now available to upgraded and art upgraded players for early access testing! After testing, these features will be become available to everyone.
1. The layer group duplicator. This feature can be found in species creation under the groups panel. At the bottom of the page, you now have the option to copy any existing layer group for that species. This will copy all of the layers and settings from that group, but not the layer group mascot, permissions, or item settings.
2. A search bar has now been added to the blurb generator. This should allow you to search keywords and bring up any existing blurbs so you can determine whether the blurb you want to add has already been submitted, or if you just want to see what's in there!
Bug Priorities
2022-05-12 12:23:53
This is a de-confuddler update!
For those wondering, the priority system in the bug reports forum is for player feedback only! Most sites have it where staff mark priorities on reports, but we don't currently do that on 4dopt. Sometimes the staff mark things, but anyone can—and it's just for feedback. Currently on 4dopt, any user can mark priorities on the bug reports.
This can be changed later, but rest assured, it's not very abusable. Sure, someone could go around and mess up all the priorities, but doing this won't accomplish anything as staff have their own priority system anyway—we don't rely on the bug reports priorities system for that.
For now, the priority setting has been added to the bug report creation section with an explanation on how this works to help prevent confusion, and staff are discussing possible changes.
"Intelligent creatures, if a bit fickle. They have prehensile tails, and can wield them with some degree of proficiency to paint, write, or otherwise communicate in text."

"A large canine-like creature! These guys are always up to some sort of trouble, and their rocky coats are pretty good at keeping them from harm. Not easy to train or tame, but great companions if you manage that feat."

"These high energy creatures can be a bit of a handful. They tend to spend most of their day headbutting each other, or trees. They typically travel in large herds and will eat just about anything. "
