@everyone FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BLOCKED ADOPTABLES IMAGE CONTENT ON THE SITE, this is a warning that you MIGHT be exposed to blocked content, when it will happen, and how to avoid it. If this is a concern to you, read below.
We are going to be updating 4dopt's blocking system tomorrow (most likely, but not 100% guaranteed).
The update will take effect when you see a news post on the official site saying that it is in effect. This is when you MIGHT start being exposed to the content that you blocked.
This update is being done to add the ability to block adoptables by ID, expanding on the existing system.
The new feature has been tested by staff, BUT, just to be safe (because there is always at least a small chance unforseen bugs when adding a new feature), this announcement is just a heads up of what to expect.
We are going to start out by only implementing this update on adopt profiles. That way users who don't want to risk seeing anything can more easily avoid it when it goes live, and still be able to use the rest of the site.
Those who don't want to take any chances of being exposed to blocked adopt images - don't visit adopt profiles of things that you've blocked when this update goes live.
For those who don't mind potentially being exposed and want to help test the new blocking features, check out adopt profiles of content you have blocked and let staff know if you encounter any bugs.
We will expand this update to the rest of the site it's been live on adopt profiles for a bit, just to be sure everything's working as intended.
There's two new early-mid level areas! The Playground and Gazebo.
These areas may not have much in them right now and are ready to be populated as artists see fit!
Each user has been given a special item for April Fool's. Try hatching an adopt with it or using it to transform an adopt!
The April event has started!
All players can now access the Garden area until the end of the month.
This is a good month for hatching eggs! Hatchlings will come with +10 energy this month instead of the usual 3.
The recolor page has received a layout to improve layout and reduce scrolling.
Markings are now listed in categories (by marking type) that can be expanded by clicking on them. This may be especially helpful for species who have hundreds of potential marking options.
Happy recoloring, everyone!
Per polling and player feedback, we have now increased posting incentives for chatbox, news posts, profile comments, adopt profile comments, and species profile comments!
You will now get +1 EXP for posting with your account, or +3 EXP for posting as an adoptable.
This doesn't effect the forums. Only the realtime chat and comment sections have this.
