The naming categories feature has been expanded on. Species creators can now select from a variety of different types of naming themes in the species panel (under basic info). This will cause adopts of that species to be more likely to have those types of words in their name.
More naming themes have been added to areas as well to give them the game a little more immersion.
The Spotlight Contest feature is ready for testing!
The Spotlight Contest feature allows you to enter your favorite adopts for a chance to win big prizes, and get featured in the news. This will start running once a week and can be found in the Plaza.
Multiple updates have been made!
Achievements - The achievements guide has been converted (from our old guide system) so it can now be found when searched through the help section on the sidebar. Also:
- The guide has been updated.
- Seekers achievements have been added.
- A 300 item collection achievement has been added.
- Rare adopts achivement now includes rare items found.
Raffle - The raffle now gives energy to adopts that are won! The amount of energy they get is based on the amount of tickets that were placed (+3 per ticket). So if you win an adopt that had 100 tickets in the bag, the adopt will come with 300 energy.
A new mechanic is being added that allows you to have a higher chance of findinf adoptables with themed anmes depending on the area they are spawned in.
Flowerfield, Garden, and Spring Patch will now have a higher chance of rolling flower-related words in their names.
The Volcano area will be more likely to give adopts with names that contain fire-related words.
Rock Pass will contain more adopts with names related to rocks and minerals.
The Laboratory will have more sciencey names.
Star Lake will have more names related to outer space.
This feature is still in an early testing (as with the rest of 4dopt). Later, we will add more themes to other areas.
We may also add this as an option for species creators to make certain themed words be more likely for adopts of their species.
New gender options have been added to explore settings to include the Omni gender.
You can now also edit explore settings for your species without removal! Removal will still require going through the 1-2 change queue, but edits are applied immediately, giving creators a little more control over their species.
