A collection feature has been added for item collectors out there!
You can add items to your collection from your inventory (like shops) where you will also find the link to your collection.
Collections will store progress on which items you have, and which ones you need (you can also store multiples of the same item if you wish to collect larger quantities).
Because 4dopt.com allows user-submitted items, the collection feature is designed for any item to be collected, BUT unobtainable items will be placed into their own category (this is for any items that are not findable via explore, and will be updated automatically if items are removed from explore by artists).
Thank you all for your suggestions. We are still working on adding new features to make 4dopt a more expansive and enjoyable site. Happy testing!
4dopt staff will no longer be denying new species releases based on layering issues. It is up to the artists to use the layering tools or not to use them.
For example, if a species is upload it all as one layer, we will no longer be denying these.
Although having everything on one layer prevents hex re-colors, this can be fixed by the artist later by uploading new layers (and this will not affect previously created adoptables).
If you were an artist, we recommend reading the guides and playing around with features before releasing to make sure youâ??re getting the most out of the tools provided, but if you do not wish to use the tools, this is fine!
You can now view all released items on 4dopt via the 'All Items' link from your inventory.
There has been an update to exploring that will make it easier to find your closed respawns.
You should no longer have to worry about accidentally clicking past or failing to catch something and having it be drowned in the open respawn pool, because there is now a set chance you will find a closed respawn instead of an open one (if any exist).
Artist upgrades have been added to the site store! These upgrades will give benefits to artists using the site.
The two different upgrade types can be stacked.
These were originally one upgrade type, but we have split the cost and split the upgrades into two different ones per user suggestion.
For those who previously purchased regular upgrades BEFORE artist upgrades existed, if you would like your upgrade converted to an artist upgrade, you can contact staff directly.
The explore bug has been fixed!
Although we do have a logging system in place to track earnings and roll back anything needed, it turns out this bug was not heavily exploitable, so we will not be deducting any of the experience that was earned as a result of it.
Thank you everyone for testing and reporting bugs during early access!
We just have recently discovered a bug that may be game-breaking revolving exploring and item pools.
We are going to be investigating this and deciding what to do with all the extra levels and exp that everyone has accumulated. We will get back to you as soon as we can. For now, i advice you not to explore or gain any levels untill we have the issue resolved. Thank you!
The yield of energy items has been increased.
We are still working on finding the right balances for the game.
