We now have player leaderboards!
More will be added to this feature later.
This can be accessed from the users online page links.
The forums, news comments, species comments, profile comments, and adopt comments are all being recoded to work in realtime like the chat, and to run off of the same data.
This will:
- allow users to comment on things more quickly
- allow us to add an easy-to-use search on forums and other areas
- homogenize everything so it all looks consistent and has maxmiumum functionality (posting as adopts, editing, deleting, searching)
This is a big process so bear with us! It may take a few days to completely switch this system over.
Step 1: getting everything to be functional. Simple posting without bugs. Things may be lacking features at first and we will add these back.
Step 2: re-adding pagination, editing, and deleting posts (restoring features).
Step 3: layout adjustments and making this look nice.
Step 4: adding new features that are planned, such as searching and more advanced subscription features.
This whole thing may look like a downgrade at first until we re-add everything, so bear with us! It will have all of the same stuff it had before once it's done, plus more.
Here are some of the updates that happened today:
Gender switching has now been updated to a realtime interface.
Spotlight Contest voting is now in realtime. Also, adopt IDs are visible, along with RNG names (unless the [remoldname] code is active, in which case this will not be visible).
Bug collection category has now been merged with critter.
Random name suggestion has been added to the signup page to juice things up a bit.
Species info can now be much longer and is now intended for more fleshed out lore instead of short summaries!
The Grayeen layout is now the default theme. This will not affect current users, only new players and those who are not logged in.
Many UI and layout fixes to help get the site looking nicer and more consistent.
Renaming adoptables has been switched over to realtime! You can now browse your adoptables viewing their images, and random name (unless the RNG name was made hidden with the [remoldname] code, in which case this will not appear).
This allows you to go through and give names to your adoptables faster and easier than ever before!
We have also combined the Nickname Stone with the Random Nicknamer items, allowing you to randomize a new nickname with either of these stones.
