Two new features are now out!
Transform layer settings have been added to the transform settings in order to help aleviate the issue of transforms lacking markings.
Creators can now decide whether they want a species to be given layers when they are transformed, or leave it the same (essential layers only, which is the default setting).
WARNING, allowing a species to get layers when transformed allows players to BYPASS rarity settings on markings for your species (this exploit is the reason we have not allowed marking transfers in the past). We recommend not setting this if there are any layers you don't want players to have access to, as a creator.
A guide will be added later once this feature has been out long enough to confirm its stay.
We are also working on other things to help with this issue, so this is not the only solution being worked on, but should help for some species that are intended to be more accessible.
New recolor criteria have been added with the goal in mind to give species creators more tools to make markings available so that more players can enjoy recoloring their adopts.
You can now access additional recolor options from the permissions settings of your species.
These new options allow players to access recolor for markings for free as long as the adopt meets certain requirements (like being of a certain gender, age, or having a high enough stat). For example, a Flower Dog with a high enough Love stat could be given heart markings (no item needed).
Alternatively, these new criteria can be combined with item criteria, and will allow players to either use an item when criteria aren't met, or get markings for free when they are.
More guides will be added for this later.
Another updates on layer fixes. We are still fixing adopts who were affected by the layer order bug (this also affectred filters in some cases).
Please post here to request fixes either by posting the ID of an affected adoptable, or the species ID of an affected species (we can batch fix adopts by species per request of the creator or when otherwise appropriate to correct obvious bugs).
We are also now fixing recolor indicator statuses. We DO NOT have any special features for this, so it is being done by Admin directly through the database. Just keep in mind this may take a while, so adopts may not be fixed right away, but we will get to them as soon as possible when they are posted. Be sure to post them if you want the recolor indicator to be fixed.
CookieMaterial won the Spotlight Contest!
CookieMaterial won against 115 contestants with 278 opponent votes.
The jackpot was 76,780 PTS, 4,190 adopt EXP, 2,840 energy, and 2,065 account EXP.
There have been layer order and filter bugs affecting quite a few adoptables on the site.
To have your adoptables fixed, you can post their IDs here.
We can also fix adoptables in batches if you want all of x species fixed.
Species c reators may also request all adoptables of their species be fixed.
This fix is known to work on 99% of adoptables. The only ones it may not work on are custom adoptables with custom layer orders and custom filters—though these can be fixed by hand by the species creator and, if not available, staff can step in to fix these.
Thank you all for the patience while we work on fixing this bug! We will be sending out some fun items soon as an exclussive thank you to players for helping out.
